My mother has worked in a law office for my entire life, so I always knew that I wanted to be involved in law as well. However, it took me a while to determine the aspect of law that I wanted to pursue as a career. While at college in Washington D.C., I studied political science. While this interested me, I quickly determined that I did not want to become a politician. I continued to consider other areas of the law, as an undergraduate and when I was in law school at Suffolk Law.
Ultimately, while I was an 3L, I had the privilege of being a member of the Prosecutor’s Clinic. There, I acted as a student prosecutor at the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office at the Dedham Court in Massachusetts. This was the experience that I needed to finally decide on an area of the law. It drew me toward criminal law, and I have never looked back.
After I graduated from law school, I moved to Connecticut and was lucky to join the team at Lady DUI. Working on the defense side of DUI cases has provided me a new level of understanding with our clients and those charged with a crime in criminal court. Clients are often quickly judged or assumed guilty, though they have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. It is my job to fight for my client’s rights and make sure that their story is heard by the court.
Our clients have every right to be heard and fought for. That is the goal that I set when I worked with every single one of our clients. I have been so fortunate to learn from the team around me as I began my career and continue to grow every day.

In my free time, I love to run road races and want to run a marathon soon. I also love playing with my new dog, Mac!
